Seaside Sanctuary is a purpose built 21 bed rest home set in five acres of gardens that open right onto Surfdale beach, Waiheke Island.
We have been providing quality Christian care for the elderly since 1984. The rest home is a not-for-profit organisation owned by Seaside Charitable Trust.
The rest home provides a warm, homely and caring environment with facilities that cater to the needs of the older person. The smaller number of residents catered for enables the staff to provide a high standard of personalised care.
In this setting we seek to care for residents’ physical, mental and spiritual needs and to assist them to maintain a safe level of independence and provide a range of recreational activities.
We believe it is the encouragement of that independence which is so very important to the general welfare and well-being of the home’s residents and therefore individual care plans are prepared for each resident.
The bowling club, local shops and hairdresser are all within easy walking distance.
